Saturday night's lonely, Sunday is blue

The weekdays ain't better, they don't include you

But good bourbon whiskey is what gets me through

Saturday night's lonely, Sunday is blue

Jill counts the money while Joe mops the floor

I pack up my guitar and head toward the door

She waves as I'm leaving 'cause she feels it too

Saturday night's lonely, Sunday is blue

The crowd was a big one, rowdy and loud

They loved all my music, and that makes me proud

But something is missing, and I know its you

Saturday night's lonely, Sunday is blue

Saturday night's lonely, Sunday is blue

The weekdays ain't better, they don't include you

But good bourbon whiskey is what gets me through

Saturday night's lonely, Sunday is blue

Drinkin' and smokin' alone in my room, thinkin' 'bout you

We had a big fight, and it lasted all night

You said we were through, and that sure is true

Then you left with him and I'm left with blue

The streets are all empty, the crowds are all gone

I'm walkin' the sidewalk to a room I call home

Its been seven months now since she bid adieu

Saturday night's lonely, Sunday is blue

I'm running on empty and feeling the strain

Just two things that help me to deal with the pain

That's music and whiskey, for life without you

Saturday night's lonely, Sunday is blue

Saturday night's lonely, Sunday is blue

The weekdays ain't better, they don't include you

But good bourbon whiskey is what gets me through

Saturday night's lonely, Sunday is blue

Drinkin' and smokin' alone in my room, thinkin' 'bout you

We had a big fight, and it lasted all night

You said we were through, and that sure is true

Then you left with him and I'm left with blue

Saturday night's lonely, Sunday is blue

The weekdays ain't better, they don't include you

But good bourbon whiskey is what gets me through

Saturday night's lonely, Sunday is blue
